Principal's Message

June 22, 2018

Dear Holy Name of Mary School Families,

As the 2017-2018 School Year comes to an end, I want to take a moment to say thank you. It was a year filled with faith experiences, high academic achievement and friendships formed and strengthened. Thank you to all our students for working hard and for being kind! Thank you to all our parents and families who support Holy Name of Mary by giving of their time, talent and treasure. Thank you to our PTL board and to our School Board for organizing our fund and fun raisers!

I am so blessed to wake up every day and do what I love in a place that I love.  I look forward to sharing new social, academic and faith filled experiences next year.  A few things to look forward to are:

  • New STREAM Program
  • Due to the generosity of so many during our “Race for Education” Chromebooks and IPads will be utilized in all classrooms
  • New clubs
  • Parent workshops
  • New peer group programs to promote self-esteem and collaboration among students

2018-2019 is going to be a great year!  School begins on September 4 for grades 1-8. The calendar will be on the website as soon as all the dates are approved. Keep an eye on our website for summer updates.

I wish all our graduates much success as they move on to High School. Please keep me informed of their accomplishments and experiences.  I will keep each one of them in my prayers.

When you are vacationing this summer, on Long Island or away, please send HNOM a postcard. I will hang them up in the school and we can all share our summer experiences in September. If you are away from home and are looking for a Catholic Mass to attend can help!

Encourage your children to complete the summer packet he/she received. The packets will help to prepare him/her for next year.

There are always new adventures to be had and new experiences to share. Learn something new this summer.  Most importantly, pray, play and make wonderful memories together!

In Christ I Remain,

Mrs. Pamela Sanders
